Chief Minister Shri Sai Chairs a Divisional Review Meeting in Bemetara

CM Reviews Development Schemes, Law and Order, and Public Welfare Programmes

Chief Minister Directs Faster Resolution of Public Grievances, Strengthening of Chief Minister Helpline, and Time-Bound Disposal of Revenue Cases

Raipur: Chief Minister Shri Vishnu Deo Sai chaired a divisional-level review meeting at the District Panchayat Auditorium in Bemetara on May 31. He said that the true measure of governance lies in its sensitivity, accountability and commitment towards citizens. He stressed that officials should not only listen to public grievances but also ensure their prompt and effective resolution so that people are not forced to make repeated visits to government offices.

Chief Minister stated that the state government’s objective is not merely to formulate schemes but to ensure that their benefits reach the last person in society. He emphasised the need for an administration that is more proactive, result-oriented and citizen-centric.

Collectors, SPs, and senior administrative officials from Bemetara, Durg, Rajnandgaon, Kabirdham, and Khairagarh-Chhuikhadan-Gandai districts attended the meeting. Development projects, welfare programmes, law and order, and administrative performance were reviewed in detail. Officials from other districts also joined the meeting through video conferencing to provide updates on the progress of various schemes.

Chief Minister Shri Sai stated that good governance becomes meaningful only when citizens do not have to struggle to get their problems resolved. He directed officials to treat public service as their highest priority and ensure the serious and timely disposal of every complaint, application and grievance. He stated that sensitivity and accountability towards citizens are the soul of the administrative system and that resolving public issues is not only an official duty but also a moral responsibility.

Focus on Making the Chief Minister Helpline a Strong and Trusted Platform

The Chief Minister stated that the state government is developing the Chief Minister Helpline as a strong, effective and reliable platform through which citizens can easily register their complaints. He said grievances received through the helpline would be monitored at the highest level to ensure accountability and timely resolution.

He added that the Chief Minister Helpline would serve as a powerful bridge between the administration and the public, ensuring that government schemes and services reach the last beneficiary without obstacles.

Strict Directions for Timely Disposal of Revenue Cases

During the review meeting, Chief Minister Shru Sai accorded special priority to revenue-related matters and directed officials to launch a special campaign to dispose of cases pending beyond the prescribed time limit, particularly those pending for more than one year.

He said that matters such as mutation, partition, land demarcation and correction of land records are directly linked to citizens’ rights and livelihoods, and negligence in such cases would not be tolerated. The Chief Minister also directed strict action against patwaris and concerned personnel found responsible for errors in revenue records or deliberate irregularities.

Review of Sushashan Tihar, Drinking Water Supply and Health Preparedness

The Chief Minister said that the Sushasan Tihar organised across the state has strengthened communication between the government and citizens and accelerated the delivery of benefits under various schemes. He instructed officials to ensure the sensitive and effective resolution of every complaint and application received during the programme.
