Chief Minister Vishnu Deo Sai Interacts with PM Awas Yojana Beneficiaries During Good Governance Camp in Ramanuj Nagar of Surajpur District
Raipur, An emotional and heartwarming moment was witnessed during the public grievance redressal camp organised under the ‘Sushasan Tihar’ initiative in Janpad Panchayat Ramanuj Nagar of Surajpur district, when Chief Minister Shri Vishnu Deo Sai visited beneficiaries of the Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana and interacted with them with warmth and compassion.
During the interaction, beneficiary Smt Kunti Bai shared her difficult life journey with the Chief Minister. She said that after the untimely death of her husband, life had become extremely challenging for her family. The burden of household responsibilities, raising children, and living without a secure roof over their heads forced them to endure constant hardship and insecurity. She explained that surviving in a mud house during the rainy and summer seasons was especially difficult.
In such challenging circumstances, the Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana emerged as a “ray of hope” in her life. With government assistance, she received a permanent house that brought security, dignity, and stability to her family. Becoming emotional during the interaction, she said, “We never imagined that we would one day own a permanent house. Today, the Chief Minister himself came to meet us, and this is a matter of great honour for our family.”
Chief Minister Shri Vishnu Deo Sai listened carefully to her experiences. He encouraged the family by stating that the objective of government welfare schemes is not only to provide facilities, but also to bring “dignity, confidence, and security” into the lives of needy families.
It is noteworthy that under the Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana (Rural), a total of 72,379 houses have been sanctioned in Surajpur district, of which 64,799 have already been completed. This represents 89.53 per cent of the total sanctioned houses.
